The world was shook in March after the emergence of a global pandemic. Industries as a whole were knocked down to to a shell of an organization. Some closed their doors temporarily while others, unfortunately, may have incurred more permanent closures. We witnessed this ourselves with our first ever planned live event here in Sacramento.
At this point, the above isn’t new news as we near mid-July, but what is developing, as the globe begins to reopen in their independently forcasted phases of doing so, is how these effected industries plan to return to their former level of business, and when they can do so. And in specific, the music industry.
Being mid-June, we see a light at the end of the tunnel as bigger and bigger gatherings are being allowed to conduct business as usual.
The Disco Donnie team is on the frontlines, betting against the odds, leading the way in the return of “traditional” festivals. Remember, festivals with a massive crowd packed in front stage, food trucks, drinks, merch booths and so on. Their staple Halloween live event, “Freaky Deaky” is slated to happen this Halloween with the help of Ubbi Dubbi to present us a collaborative festival experience, “Ubbi Dubbi Gets Freaky Deaky”.
This two day festival (October 30th & 31st) is to host a massive lineup of over 50 artists in Houston, Texas. From single artists sets including: Zeds Dead, Champagne Drip, Deadmau5, Drezo, Excision to some interesting back-to-back performances: Adventure Club B2B Snails or 12th Planet B2B Riot Ten. To name a few.
Tickets for, “Ubbi Dubbi Gets Freaky Deaky” will go on sale Monday June 15th at 10:00 AM PST. Tier 1 tickets will be very limited, and undoubtedly sell out quickly given the current situation. Pre-register before 11:59PM on Sunday June 14th to guarantee tier 1 pricing for two hours before tickets go on sale to the general public.
In addition to the already impressive phase 1 lineup, Disco Donnie announced camping on site will be available for the first time at this historic event. Camping packages range from tent, car or RV at various tiers. More camping information available here.
It’s very exciting to see the live music industry start to come back to life. Ubbi Dubbi Gets Freaky Deaky will be a staple to 2020’s reemergence of live events. Stay posted for tickets when they go on sale and on the look out for more artist and amenity announcements.
