Following GG’s latest single “Flatline” with artists Sullivan King and Kai Wachi-comes another release a bit more on the personal side. The spunky female energy you expect to find at her live shows also reflects this latest track which features alt-punk rising star, Joey Fleming.
“Everyone has that one love that they can’t break away from… ‘Nervous Habits’ is a story about mine” – GG Magree
This synth filled track includes a heavy drum line with a soft underground bass to compliment the alt-punk vibe given off by Joey Fleming. The fast melody will definitely keep you listening if not for the pre-chorus alone-which I think a lot of us can relate to. GG and Joey reiterate what it means to be knees deep in a relationship that waters your vulnerability. Both stars open up through the duet on this deep synth bass track…
Bridges burned lesson learned,
I’m fighting these nerves,
feels like my head is just about to explode,
But I’ll keep you close,
I won’t let you go,
YOU’RE MY NERVOUS HABIT
So if you don’t know the scoop on GG Magree, I’ll break it down for you fast and easy… So pretty much this girl from Australia broke the stereotypical girl next door vibe and started selling out shows due to her insane vocals and productions skills. She built the infrastructure to an empire before leaving her home country and touring globally. GG’s presence became so big that she was actually able to go on tour ALONE to places such as Ibiza, London and Vietnam to name a few. Her signature sound could be categorized as your favorite club anthem by bringing in a smooth hook line over a heavy bass track. Magree’s vibe is similar to MIA and MØ. Her passion fueled her to work with some of the best in the industry including NGHTMRE and ZEDS DEAD. Going off of that-GG, NGHTMRE and ZEDS DEAD joined forces to produce “Frontlines” in 2016 which aired over 23 million streams on Spotify alone. GOODMORING GG, YOU’VE POPPED OFF! Needless to say she’s recorded and released an immense amount of insane material and this is only the beginning for this female power house.
You can stream “Nervous Habits” on all major platforms as of today, July 31st, 2020. If you’re not listening to GG’s latest track what are you even doing with your time? I’ll make it easy for you and leave a link below, see you in the comments!
