Adored dance music duo ARMNHMR has returned to Monstercat to release a much anticipated five-track EP, Waiting For Love. With deeply touching lyrics, this project sees them wear their hearts on their sleeves in a sonically unbound love letter to those that battled loneliness during the pandemic. ARMNHMR managed to compose an EP that encaptures the feelings we can’t put into words.
ARMNHMR shares, “Waiting For Love is a message about trust and patience. Sometimes we get lost in our own fantasies of how love should find us. It’s a song about putting faith not only in yourself, but in the people that come in and out of your life. Sometimes we become so entrenched in authoring our own ending, that more often than not, love eventually finds us in the most unexpected moments.”
Featuring five sentimental songs, this EP is lucid in a way that is refreshing to hear. The title single opens with impassioned vocals from neverwaves that cascade into climactic breakdowns and anthemic melodies, a signature fusion for ARMNHMR. Recently released crowd-favorites also appear here, alongside new records “Can’t Let You Go” with Abandoned and RYNN, and “Lonely Nights” with Synymata and Medyk. Regarding the cohesive and meaningful aesthetic of their singles and album artwork, ARMNHMR added, “We think animation and Asian culture are very closely intertwined with each other. While the artwork is not specific to an animated series, it was definitely inspired by our childhood identity! We look forward to this new branding direction and are very excited to bring our roots along the way.”
This release marks ARMNHMR’s third appearance on Monstercat. In November 2021 they released their debut Monstercat single, Saving Lives featuring Bella Renee, which can be found on this fresh EP. This duo also collaborated with Adventure Club in 2021 on the track “Anywhere“. ARMNHMR recently kicked off their Waiting For Love Tour, and have upcoming shows for the remainder of 2022. In the past year, they’ve dominated the scene with performances at prominent festivals, including EDC Las Vegas, Beyond Wonderland, House of Blues Anaheim, and more. This weekend, they’ll take to Webster Hall in New York to celebrate the release of Waiting For Love with support from Effin, Xavi, and MoMo.
