TAPE B ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL "TAPESGIVING" HOMETOWN TAKEOVER IN CLEARWATER, FLORIDA

One of bass music’s most in-demand artists is bringing the celebration home.

Tape B has announced the debut edition of Tapesgiving, a two-night hometown event set to take over The BayCare Sound in Clearwater, Florida on November 27 and 28, 2026. Curated by the Florida-born artist himself, the Thanksgiving weekend gathering marks the largest hometown headline event of his career and serves as a milestone moment in what has become one of electronic music’s most remarkable rise-to-headliner stories.

Designed as a destination event for fans across the country, Tapesgiving will showcase two nights of carefully curated bass music featuring some of the genre’s most influential and forward-thinking artists alongside Tape B’s headline performances.

The opening night brings together a lineup rooted in the modern evolution of bass music. Florida favorites EAZYBAKED join forces with internationally respected Canadian producer Distinct Motive for a special back-to-back set, while rising heavyweights Space Wizard and Claybrook round out the evening.

Night two shifts toward the cutting edge of electronic music with acclaimed producer G Jones appearing as direct support. Widely celebrated for his boundary-pushing approach to sound design and audiovisual performance, G Jones headlines a stacked supporting bill that also includes dubstep innovator Moody Good and rapidly emerging producer Dr. Ushuu.

The announcement arrives amid a career-defining period for Tape B. Over the last year, the Florida native has transformed from one of bass music’s most exciting underground names into a bona fide headline attraction, highlighted by a sold-out Red Rocks Amphitheatre debut, a national touring run that surpassed 100,000 tickets sold, and collaborations with GRiZ, Zeds Dead, Subtronics, John Summit, Juicy J, and Ganja White Night.

Known for seamlessly blending nostalgic dubstep influences with contemporary bass production and hip-hop-inspired energy, Tape B has built one of the most passionate fan communities in electronic music. His viral CarTunes and Vibe Check mix series, alongside a growing catalog of originals and collaborations, have helped establish him as one of the defining voices of bass music’s next generation.

For Tape B, whose real name is Kemal Alkanat, Tapesgiving represents a meaningful full-circle moment. After immigrating to the United States from Istanbul, Turkey as a child and growing up in South Florida, he spent years attending festivals such as Ultra Music Festival, Sunset Music Festival, and Life In Color before eventually stepping onto those stages himself.

While attending the University of Central Florida, Alkanat began teaching himself music production, spending years refining his craft and building an audience online through remixes and original productions. Following a transformative experience at Lost Lands in 2019, he committed fully to music and used the pandemic period to focus entirely on developing the Tape B project.

That decision ultimately led to one of the fastest ascents in modern bass music. By combining the sounds that inspired him growing up with a fresh production approach, Tape B quickly earned support from some of the genre’s biggest names and evolved into one of the most sought-after artists on the festival circuit.

Now, with Tapesgiving, he returns to Florida to celebrate that journey alongside the community that helped shape it.
