Grammy Award-winning DJ, producer and label head Roger Sanchez has released Spectrum, his first studio album in more than 20 years. Widely regarded as one of house music’s most influential figures, Sanchez returns with a project that reflects years of creative development and international collaboration.
The album arrives following the release of three singles: Grinnin’ with Fedde Le Grand, Come My Way, and Temptation with Low Steppa featuring Ragdoll. Much of Spectrum was written during Sanchez’s time in Shoreditch, London, a period that helped shape the album’s sonic direction, drawing inspiration from the energy and diversity of UK summer music culture.
Across its tracklist, Spectrum moves through a broad range of moods and styles, balancing club-focused productions with more reflective and melodic moments. The project incorporates personal themes and experiences while showcasing contributions from an international lineup of artists including Melanie C, Kele Le Roc, Chico Castillo, Kelli-Leigh, Carnao Beats and Donae’O.
One of the album’s standout tracks, How Do We Say Goodbye, features acclaimed singer-songwriter Karen Harding, known for collaborations with MNEK, Armand Van Helden, Rudimental and Wilkinson. The track combines Harding’s distinctive vocal performance with Sanchez’s expansive production, building from atmospheric textures into a powerful electronic crescendo.
The album’s release follows a series of recent appearances from Sanchez, including a back-to-back set with TCTS for KISS and a television interview on Sunday Brunch.
Alongside digital platforms, Spectrum will receive a physical release on 26 June as a red transparent triple-vinyl edition. The package includes a limited-edition signed art card and access to an exclusive bonus track unavailable elsewhere.
To support the album, Sanchez will spend the summer performing across Europe. His residency at Pacha Ibiza’s renowned Flower Power series forms a central part of the schedule, alongside festival appearances, Hacienda Classical performances in the UK and headline club dates across the continent.
Speaking about the project, Sanchez said:
“I’ve been working on this for the past six years, so it’s definitely a labour of love. During that time I got the chance to travel around the world and work with some amazing vocalists and songwriters to help me bring this project to life. I’ve got flavours from the UK, Spain, the US — all of this is part of the spectrum. This project is about music and frequencies and light. Everything from the light to the soulful to the club-ready infrared, the emotionally weighted ultraviolet. That’s what Spectrum is all about for me.”
The release marks a significant milestone in Sanchez’s career, bringing together influences gathered across decades in dance music while introducing a new body of work to audiences worldwide.
