Known for their masterpieces in music, RÜFÜS DU SOL are monumental in their creations. Their is nothing average released by this trio, and the newest RÜFÜS DU SOL single Alive holds that standard immensely.
In Rüfus’ newest single, “Alive” they work with legendary director James Frost who’s directed Radiohead’s “House Of Cards” music video as well as “OK Go’s “This Too Shall Pass” just to name a few.
Together, they worked together to create the music video for “Alive” that takes viewers on a first-person journey over speeding landscapes all the while “Alive” plays out in unison.

As a result, I wanted to create something where we sensed we were utterly free from restraint. In light of what the World has just gone through the last 18 months, it almost felt like the need to create a visceral piece of work.

Obviously, it would not have been possible to travel the World shooting remote landscapes, and I really wanted to find a way to explore the digital
side. That’s where Unreal Engine came in.

Director James Frost turned to Epic Game’s proprietary 3D creation suite of tools they call, Unreal Engine, to develop this video. Epic Game’s has been a force in video game development for the last three decades. As for the current generation, Epic Games is most notably known for their iconic and sui generis multiplayer battle royale style game – Fortnite.
