EDC x F1 Crossover Promises Monumental Event

Talk surrounding EDC Las Vegas 2022 has been rampant as we draw closer to May. This globally renowned festival is brought to us by Insomniac Events, and attracts nearly 300,000 fans each year. As if organizing the biggest music festivals in the game wasn’t enough, Insomniac is joining forces with Formula 1 (F1) to bring Race Week to Las Vegas. This sick crossover will come to fruition in November 2023, and we can only imagine what surprises will be thrown our way.

Insomniac Events announced this partnership with Live Nation and C3 Concerts via Instagram on March 30. No specific dates have been confirmed yet, but based on Insomniac’s track record, we can expect a week filled with outdoor concerts and nightclub events leading up to the weekend race. F1 is no stranger to the world of electronic music, and past F1 races around the globe have included performances from DJs like Swedish House Mafia, Calvin Harris, The Chainsmokers, Martin Garrix, and more. Although F1 has been to Las Vegas in years past, this will mark the first time the race will take place on the actual Strip.

Anticipation is building for Race Week, which will bring the best of both worlds to Las Vegas. Formula 1 officially shares:

“In November 2023, F1 will descend on the Las Vegas strip for an unforgettable race. Cutting right through the neon heart of the city, our 3.8-mile track will weave past world-famous landmarks, casinos, and hotels. Drivers will push their luck to breaking point at speeds of up to 212 mph. We’re putting everything on the table. Join us for an adrenaline-pumping 50-lap roll of the dice. The stakes have never been higher.”

This monumental event is still widely a mystery, and we can patiently await for more details to be revealed. Check out the official website to read up on what’s confirmed, and keep an eye on the Insomniac Instagram to catch any news as it comes out.
