Dillon Francis has released “Cry Myself to Sleep,” a new single featuring vocalist Lizzy Land, out now as a joint release between Monstercat and Broke Records.
The track finds one of dance music’s most recognisable figures working in a noticeably more emotional register. Built on an infectious vocal hook and euphoric, future-bass-leaning production, “Cry Myself to Sleep” takes the familiar weight of late-night heartbreak and reframes it for the dancefloor — melancholy in the lyric, momentum in the drop. Francis has described the single as a euphoric journey through a breakup, exploring the bittersweet perspective of moving forward once a relationship ends.
It is a quintessentially Dillon move: taking something heavy and turning it into a record people can lose themselves in at 1am, surrounded by strangers.
The release continues a prolific stretch on Broke Records. It follows “Make You Move,” “What It Feels Like” with Daya, and “RIDDEM” with Allenora and America Foster, and marks his sixth single through Monstercat since debuting on the label with “Let It Go” alongside Eptic in 2019.
The single lands as Francis heads into one of his busiest stretches of the year. Upcoming stops include Gridlife Laguna Festival, Academy LA, and ILLENIUM’s Ember Shores at the Barceló Riviera Maya in Mexico from November 20–22, alongside ongoing dates on DILLSTRADAMUS, his long-awaited co-headline reunion with trap pioneers Flosstradamus — collaborators and friends for over a decade, going back to b2b afterparty sets in 2012 and a global headline tour in 2013.
That run builds on a career of main-stage appearances at Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, Ultra, Lollapalooza and Outside Lands. Francis broke through as one of the pioneers of moombahton, becoming the first artist in the genre to top the Beatport releases chart in 2012 before releasing his major-label debut album, Money Sucks, Friends Rule, in 2014 — the same era that produced “Get Low” with DJ Snake.
