Zeds Dead, ARDN & Boi-1da Release “WE CAME TO BLEED” From Canada Soccer’s Perfect Pitch Album

Zeds Dead, ARDN and Grammy-winning producer Boi-1da have released “WE CAME TO BLEED,” the latest single from Perfect Pitch, the landmark music initiative launched by Canada Soccer and Infinity &. The track arrives as part of the rollout for WHAT IF IT ALL GOES RIGHT?, the highly anticipated compilation album set for release on June 5.

Designed to soundtrack a defining era for Canadian soccer, Perfect Pitch brings together artists from across the country to create a large-scale cultural project that celebrates music, sport, identity, and community. Executive produced by Boi-1da, the album assembles one of the most diverse collections of Canadian musical talent to support Canada Soccer’s growing momentum on the world stage while also helping fund youth access and inclusion programs through the Canada Soccer Foundation.

“WE CAME TO BLEED” channels the intensity and emotional pressure of elite competition through a hard-hitting fusion of electronic and hip-hop production. The record combines Zeds Dead’s cinematic, genre-blurring sound with Boi-1da’s unmistakable hip-hop foundation, while ARDN delivers a standout vocal performance rooted in ambition, resilience, and national pride.

Lyrically, the song reflects the determination and confidence associated with competing at the highest level. References such as “I got the Midas touch, I’m like Alphonso Davies” tie athletic excellence to Canadian identity, reinforcing the broader message behind the Perfect Pitch campaign: that greatness can emerge from anywhere when belief and opportunity align.

More than a soundtrack project, Perfect Pitch has been positioned as a long-term cultural initiative connecting Canadian music and soccer while creating measurable impact beyond entertainment. Proceeds from WHAT IF IT ALL GOES RIGHT? will support grassroots soccer programming, reduce financial barriers to participation, and strengthen developmental pathways for future generations of Canada’s Men’s and Women’s National Teams.

The release also arrives during a milestone year for Zeds Dead. The duo is currently celebrating both 15 years as an act and 10 years of their influential Deadbeats label. Those anniversaries coincide with the recently announced Journey of a Lifetime tour, the largest headlining tour of their career, spanning amphitheaters and major markets across North America. The campaign will also continue into the release of a new studio album later this June, following the creative direction introduced on their 2025 project Return To The Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness.

ABOUT ZEDS DEAD

Formed by Dylan Mamid (DC) and Zachary Rapp-Rovan (Hooks), Zeds Dead emerged from Toronto’s underground scene and has grown into one of electronic music’s most respected and enduring acts. Known for their cinematic sampling, bass-heavy experimentation, and genre-defying approach, the duo has spent more than 15 years shaping modern electronic music culture.

Originally collaborating under the name Mass Productions, the pair developed a shared creative identity rooted in hip-hop, crate-digging culture, and underground music communities. In 2009, they adopted the name Zeds Dead and launched Bassmentality, a weekly Toronto event that became foundational to the city’s bass music movement.

Their early remixes and original productions quickly gained international recognition, particularly their remix of Blue Foundation’s “Eyes on Fire,” which became one of the defining electronic tracks of its era. Over the years, they evolved into one of dance music’s most consistently innovative acts through relentless touring, immersive live shows, and a discography that spans dubstep, hip-hop, house, drum & bass, and experimental electronic music.

In 2016, the duo launched Deadbeats, a label that has since become one of bass music’s most influential platforms, helping elevate artists including REZZ, Subtronics, IMANU, and Nostalgix. Their 2025 album Return To The Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness further expanded their reputation for ambitious and cinematic storytelling through music.

Today, Zeds Dead continues to balance legacy and experimentation, building immersive fan experiences and large-scale performances while maintaining the underground spirit that defined their rise.
