MARAH DEBUTS ON DEADBEATS WITH “TALK TO ME,” THE FIRST SINGLE FROM HER FORTHCOMING ‘LULA’ EP

Vancouver-based producer continues rapid rise with her first release on Zeds Dead’s influential imprint

Vancouver-based DJ and producer MARAH has released her latest single, “Talk To Me,” marking her debut on Deadbeats, the acclaimed label founded by Zeds Dead. The track also serves as the first glimpse into her upcoming EP, LULA, introducing a new chapter for one of bass music’s fastest-rising artists.

Over the past few years, MARAH has built a reputation for crafting music that refuses to sit comfortably within any single genre. Drawing inspiration from dubstep, trap, techno, UK club sounds, and underground dance music, her productions have steadily attracted attention for their ability to balance raw energy with musical depth. “Talk To Me” continues that evolution.

Built around a relentless 140 BPM pulse, the track prioritises movement and atmosphere over formulaic festival drops. Hypnotic vocal elements weave through deep basslines and intricate rhythms, creating a record that feels equally at home on festival stages, underground club systems, and late-night dancefloors. The production highlights MARAH’s growing confidence as both a sound designer and storyteller, pushing beyond conventional bass music boundaries while maintaining a strong emotional core.

Speaking about the release, MARAH said:

“‘Talk To Me,’ the lead single from the EP, is about getting out of your own head, letting yourself enjoy the moment, and pushing beyond your comfort zone. It’s about allowing yourself to fully experience the party, the music, and the freedom that comes with stepping into something unfamiliar. I love this song.”

The release arrives during a period of significant momentum for the Vancouver artist. Following a breakthrough touring year in 2024, MARAH joined Hamdi on both his U.S. Showcase Tour and Western Canada Tour, bringing her distinctive sound to audiences across North America. Along the way, she has earned support from respected names including Sicaria, Notion, EPROM, and Hamdi, helping cement her position within the next wave of bass music talent.

That momentum has translated onto major stages. Recent performances at Shambhala, Lightning in a Bottle, Bass Coast, Fvded in the Park, and DEF’s celebrated Hulaween stage have showcased MARAH’s ability to connect with diverse audiences across the electronic music landscape. Her upcoming schedule continues that trajectory, with appearances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre during Zeds Dead’s Deadrocks event, Bass Coast, BSide LA, and support dates for Zeds Dead in Miami and Arizona later this year.

While “Talk To Me” represents an important milestone as MARAH’s first release with Deadbeats, it also serves as a preview of the creative direction behind LULA. The forthcoming project expands on her genre-fluid approach, exploring the intersection of bass music, club culture, and forward-thinking electronic production.

As electronic music continues to evolve, MARAH is emerging as part of a new generation of artists challenging traditional genre boundaries. With “Talk To Me,” she takes another significant step forward, delivering a release that signals both artistic growth and growing influence within the global bass music community.
