Global electronic music artist Don Diablo has released “Lete Sound,” an Afro house collaboration that brings together Tanzanian singer Ben Pol and Kenyan rapper Juliani. The track blends Don Diablo’s futuristic production style with East African musical influences, creating a sound that feels both global and rooted in local identity.
Beyond its musical appeal, “Lete Sound” marks the beginning of Don Diablo’s association with Restore Local, a growing movement focused on locally led ecosystem restoration across Africa. The initiative supports efforts to restore degraded landscapes while strengthening climate resilience, biodiversity, and community-driven economies.
This release continues Don Diablo’s evolving engagement with purpose-driven projects. Earlier in his career, he supported Dance4Life, and more recently collaborated with JustDiggit on the “Stream To Regreen” campaign, where streaming revenues directly contributed to restoration efforts. With “Lete Sound,” the focus shifts toward connecting cultural influence with environmental action.
The single is the first release from an upcoming three-track EP titled “Restore Local Sessions.” The project aims to use music as a bridge between global audiences and on-ground restoration work, amplifying awareness through storytelling and collaboration. It also arrives as Don Diablo prepares for his forthcoming studio album “FLUX,” which was recently introduced with “Go Home With A Stranger,” a collaboration featuring Wiz Khalifa and Chri$tian Gate$.
Currently ranked #13 on the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs list, Don Diablo has built a reputation for pushing genre boundaries with tracks such as “On My Mind” and “Cutting Shapes.” His collaborations span a wide spectrum of global artists including Dua Lipa, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Rihanna, and Madonna.
Outside of music, his work extends into digital art, fashion, and media. His creations have been showcased at global platforms including Venice Biennale and Art Basel, while his label HEXAGON continues to champion emerging talent worldwide.
For Ben Pol, “Lete Sound” adds to a catalogue that reflects both musical versatility and social commitment. Known for tracks like “Moyo Mashine” and “Phone,” he has collaborated with leading African artists and remains actively involved in youth and climate-focused initiatives through the Ben Pol Foundation. His role as a UN SDGs Champion further underscores his engagement beyond music.
Juliani brings a similarly multidimensional perspective. A respected voice in Kenya’s creative and entrepreneurial ecosystem, he is the founder of MyMsanii and Takabank, platforms focused on empowering artists and advancing circular economy solutions. His work with organisations such as WWF Kenya, the World Bank, and Google highlights his ability to connect culture with broader systems of impact.
With “Lete Sound,” the collaboration moves beyond a conventional release. It signals a growing intersection between music, culture, and environmental action, positioning sound not just as entertainment, but as a medium for global connection and local change.
