ZEDS DEAD ANNOUNCE “JOURNEY OF A LIFETIME” — THE BIGGEST HEADLINING TOUR OF THEIR CAREER

After days of online speculation sparked by a cryptic yellow brick road teaser simply reading “Summer 2026,” Zeds Dead have officially unveiled their next chapter. The celebrated electronic duo has announced Journey of a Lifetime, the largest and most ambitious headlining tour of their 15-year career, featuring a full-scale amphitheater run across major cities in the United States and Canada.

Designed as a career-spanning live experience, Journey of a Lifetime will showcase the complete arc of Zeds Dead’s musical journey. The tour will feature a full-catalog set drawing from their earliest MySpace uploads and Bassmentality-era edits to platinum-certified singles, festival anthems, and recent cinematic productions. Fans can expect the duo’s most expansive stage production to date, with evolved visual storytelling inspired by the television and space-travel themes introduced during the era of their album Return to the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness.

Reflecting on the tour’s meaning, Zeds Dead shared:

“Journey of a lifetime is one of the first tracks we uploaded to the World Wide Web as Zeds Dead way back in 2009. 17 years later, it feels like it was a prophecy. We might have not realized it at the time, but we were in fact blasting off into space and leaving behind life as we knew it. This journey is your journey with us as well. We’ve grown up together and celebrated life. We’ve created a world together and the Journey of a Lifetime tour aims to be our most thorough exploration of it. This will be our biggest tour yet as its taking place in large outdoor venues and we’re going to make it the best show we can make. It will be the grand finale of everything we’ve been working on. It’s not the end though. To quote something we sampled in a beat once “Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.” We’ll be taking some time off in 2027 so we’re going all out on production, new music, and stage design to bring you a new show that will take you on a magical journey. A journey of a lifetime. See you there.”

Since emerging from Toronto’s underground music scene in 2009, Dylan Mamid (DC) and Zachary Rapp-Rovan (Hooks) have built one of electronic music’s most dedicated global fanbases. What began with grassroots weekly parties under the Bassmentality banner evolved into international touring, platinum-certified releases, and the launch of their influential independent label Deadbeats, which celebrates its 10-year anniversary this year.

A cornerstone of their live legacy is Deadrocks, their annual multi-night residency at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The event has sold out every year since 2014 and has become a pilgrimage moment for fans of bass music across North America. Over time, Zeds Dead intentionally shifted away from constant touring toward curated destination events and multi-night performances, transforming their shows into immersive experiences rather than standard tour stops.

The Journey of a Lifetime tour will feature 15 dates across major amphitheaters and iconic venues, including two sold-out nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, major shows in New York and Los Angeles, a homecoming performance in Toronto, and several Canadian stops. The routing represents some of the duo’s most significant touring activity in years.

Joining the tour will be a rotating lineup of forward-thinking support artists including ALLEYCVT, Daily Bread, Deathpact, Dr. Fresch, IMANU, Ivy Lab, Mary Droppinz, Moody Good, and Whethan. The support lineup will vary by city, reflecting the genre-blending ecosystem that Zeds Dead has cultivated through both their touring legacy and the Deadbeats label.

MORE ABOUT ZEDS DEAD

Emerging from Toronto’s underground music culture, Zeds Dead has spent more than fifteen years shaping the global bass music landscape. Comprised of Dylan Mamid (DC) and Zachary Rapp-Rovan (Hooks), the duo is known for its genre-blending productions, cinematic sampling techniques, and immersive live performances.

Their collaboration began under the name Mass Productions, where they bonded over hip-hop culture, graffiti, and crate-digging for samples. In 2009 they adopted the name Zeds Dead and began releasing music online, including the early track “Journey of a Lifetime”, which helped introduce their sound to a rapidly growing bass music audience on MySpace.

That same year, they launched Bassmentality, a weekly club night in the basement of a Toronto venue that quickly became a cornerstone of the city’s dubstep and bass scene. The event played a key role in shaping Canada’s emerging electronic music culture.

International recognition soon followed. Their remix of Blue Foundation’s “Eyes on Fire” went viral online and became one of their signature tracks. Early support from BBC Radio 1, including spins by Kissy Sell Out, helped accelerate their rise. By 2010 and 2011, Zeds Dead had broken onto the global stage with relentless touring schedules, festival appearances, and a string of influential releases that built a devoted fanbase across North America and Europe.

Their 2014 single “Lost You” became one of their most widely recognized records, earning national radio support and eventually achieving platinum certification.

In 2016, Zeds Dead released their debut studio album Northern Lights, which featured collaborations with artists including Pusha T, Diplo, and Rivers Cuomo. That same year, they launched their independent label Deadbeats, which has since grown into a major platform for bass music artists such as REZZ, Subtronics, IMANU, Nostalgix, and many more.

In 2025, the duo released their long-awaited sophomore album Return to the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness, a 14-track project that blended nostalgic sampling with cinematic storytelling. The album showcased their creative range while celebrating their deep roots in hip-hop, film, and record-digging culture.

Today, Zeds Dead stands at the intersection of legacy and innovation within electronic music. Their live strategy draws inspiration from jam band touring circuits, emphasizing destination events, multi-night residencies, and immersive experiences in cities like Denver, Chicago, and Toronto. Fans often travel across states and countries to attend these curated performances, transforming them into cultural gatherings rather than conventional concerts.

With Journey of a Lifetime, Zeds Dead are set to celebrate fifteen years of boundary-pushing music while looking toward the next phase of their evolution.
