Yellow Claw Marks 10 Years of ‘Blood For Mercy’ with Remastered Edition and New Remixes — Out October 17 on Mad Decent

A decade after setting global dance floors ablaze, Dutch electronic duo Yellow Claw are celebrating the 10-year anniversary of their genre-defining debut album, Blood For Mercy, with a fully remastered edition and brand-new remixes, out October 17 on Diplo’s imprint, Mad Decent.

Originally released in 2015, Blood For Mercy became a cornerstone of the trap explosion that reshaped electronic music. The album delivered era-defining anthems like “In My Room” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Tyga, “Catch Me” with Flux Pavilion, “Lifetime” alongside Tiësto and Kyler England, and “Nightmare” featuring Pusha T and Barrington Levy. Drawing early inspiration from pioneers such as Skrillex, RL Grime, Diplo, and Flosstradamus, Yellow Claw transformed their SoundCloud buzz into a movement, proving they were more than trend-followers—they were visionaries crafting a sound that bridged the underground and the mainstream.

Many of the songs on ‘Blood For Mercy’ are a testament to the time we came up when the trap genre was first making waves and inspired us greatly. It was first done in the US, and from that moment on, it was our goal to go there. It all started when we saw the DJs there play our songs. Not long after, we got booked to play shows ourselves. That was just off of our Soundcloud stuff. When we got our break, we focused on doing a full album to show people we were more than just Soundcloud producers and be able to make a full body of work. It’s good to note that at this time, the only thing you heard in clubs and festivals was big room house. That’s what it was all about. People at labels even told us: “why don’t you make big room? It’s much easier to get big.” But we followed our hearts instead and did what we thought was fucking cool. And yes, that was very, very new and insecure, but it was more exciting than following the herd. Now it’s been almost 10 years, and around the time its anniversary comes up, the genre is making a huge comeback. Young trap artists are emerging and getting big. We did 6 huge b2b shows with Flosstradamus, paying homage to the genre back in 2024, plus we are gearing up for a full trap North America tour in March 2026.” – Yellow Claw

Their reflection comes amid a renaissance for trap music, as a new wave of producers reimagines the sound they helped pioneer. The duo recently honored the genre with six massive back-to-back sets alongside Flosstradamus in 2024 and are gearing up for a full trap-focused North America tour in March 2026.

Since bursting onto the global stage, Yellow Claw have amassed over a billion streams, headlined major festivals worldwide, and collaborated with a roster of heavyweights including DJ Snake, Steve Aoki, Tiësto, Gucci Mane, Tinashe, A$AP Ferg, and Juicy J. Their breakthrough hit “In My Room” alone has surpassed 160 million Spotify streams, while Blood For Mercy topped Billboard’s Heatseekers and Dance/Electronic Albums charts, earning the duo an Edison Award—the Dutch equivalent of a GRAMMY.

Beyond their sonic legacy, Yellow Claw have cultivated a signature aesthetic blending refined fashion with high-energy performances. Ten years on, Blood For Mercy remains both a time capsule and a living testament to fearless creativity—a record that continues to inspire producers, ignite crowds, and affirm Yellow Claw’s place as architects of the global bass revolution.
