SVDDEN DEATH RETURNS TO RED ROCKS FOR “VALLEY OF DARKNESS III” THIS NOVEMBER

Bay Area-born electronic powerhouse SVDDEN DEATH will bring his dark, high-energy spectacle back to Red Rocks Amphitheatre this fall with the return of his acclaimed Valley of Darkness series. Taking place over two nights — Thursday, November 13 and Friday, November 14 — the third installment promises an immersive experience blending theatrical storytelling, bone-rattling bass, and a lineup stacked with some of heavy music’s most daring innovators.

Night One (Nov 13) will showcase SVDDEN DEATH’s VOYD project, a world-renowned display of experimental bass and horror-inspired visuals. Joining him are Alice Glass, Witching Hour (Vampa & Jeanie), MYTHM, and Executioner, rounding out an evening designed to push the boundaries of sound and atmosphere.

Night Two (Nov 14) will feature SVDDEN DEATH performing under his main alias, joined by a special guest appearance from Zomboy, alongside Prosecute b2b Nimda, Bejalvin, and STVG. Expect a raw, tearout-driven headline set — an unfiltered expression of the aggression and artistry that have made SVDDEN DEATH a defining force in modern bass music.

The event follows the release of VOYD 2.5, a three-part expansion of the artist’s acclaimed VOYD 2 album, featuring new originals and collaborations from across the bass scene. With a catalog that includes MELLODEATH (with Marshmello), Summoning of the Eclipse, and numerous international festival headlines, SVDDEN DEATH continues to redefine what a live electronic experience can be.

ABOUT SVDDEN DEATH

Daniel Howland, known professionally as SVDDEN DEATH, is a Bay Area native and pioneering figure in experimental dubstep. Renowned for his aggressive sound design, theatrical performances, and genre-defying approach, he has built one of the most dedicated followings in modern bass music. His creative universe spans acclaimed projects such as VOYD, MELLODEATH, Summoning of the Eclipse, Masterhand, and Deadroom, each expanding the boundaries of electronic storytelling.

Before launching SVDDEN DEATH, Howland’s musical journey drew from a mix of deathcore, trance, and electro house, influenced by artists like Skrillex, Burial, Porter Robinson, Aphex Twin, and Alice Glass. After relocating to Los Angeles, he became a fixture in the city’s underground scene, performing at venues including The Union, Belasco, and Los Globos.

His 2017 debut EP Spelljam on Never Say Die’s Black Label — featuring breakout track “Marauders” — established him as a major new voice in dubstep. The follow-up singles “Take Ya Head Off” and “Shut ’Em Down” (with Yakz) cemented his reputation for innovation and intensity, leading to his debut co-headline tour and subsequent Junkworld EP in 2018. Since then, SVDDEN DEATH’s relentless evolution has made him a cornerstone of the global bass movement — one whose influence continues to grow with each performance and release.
