Influential producers and DJs Seven Lions & Subtronics have had a very successful solo career creating music and touring live. And their run continues individually but in recent news, the two have dropped a very affluent collaboration featuring Skylar Grey entitled, “I’ll Wait For You”. If a Seven Lions & Subtronics collaboration was on your bingo card, you can cross it off indefinitely.
“I’ll Wait For You” starts off very melodic and simplistic with vocals from Skylar Grey before ramping up into a incredibly heavy first verse where styles of both artists work seamlessly together. Following our first verse the chorus kicks in with crystal vocals from Skylar Grey and a tight drum rising that brings on the second verse that boats some original inspiration from the first but definitely introduces way more bounce.
Both Subtronics & Seven Lions are notable for their signature production styles and here in “I’ll Wait For You”, they do a great job of complimenting each other to let both styles shine.
Coming off of this collaboration, you can be sure that both Seven lions & Subtronics will be sure to rotate this track in their setlists. Seven Lions is showcasing a block party in both New York & San Francisco with a stellar lineup of like artists where “I’ll Wait For You” will most definitely be played out.
As for Subtronics, his anticipated Cyclops Cove 3 event is coming early December to Boca Raton, Florida over the span of 3 days and will host a number of incredible artists and three sets from Subtronics himself.
