KASKADE UNVEILS UNDUX, A DEEPLY PERSONAL NEW ALBUM SIGNALING A FRESH CREATIVE ERA

Eight-time GRAMMY®-nominated producer, DJ, and electronic music trailblazer Kaskade returns with undux, his long-anticipated studio album arriving December 4 via Arkade x Monstercat. The record marks one of the most revealing and creatively liberated periods of his career, revisiting the narrative-driven approach that shaped his earliest releases. Built through moments of personal upheaval, honest introspection, and renewed purpose, undux signals a clear shift back toward storytelling as a core artistic compass.

After several years of releasing streaming-focused singles, Kaskade intentionally stepped away from the rapid-fire digital cycle to recenter on the craft of building a cohesive album. He describes this new chapter as a reconnection with the format that originally made music feel meaningful, sharing:

“I have always enjoyed the process of making an album. Set aside some time, get together with some friends and make music. It always felt like telling a story with chapters and verse… Less emphasis on the crescendo but really trying to convey an entire mood or idea.”

The journey to undux wasn’t immediate. Early attempts to begin the project didn’t feel authentic, and shifting personal circumstances made creativity difficult. Instead of pushing forward, he paused. Only this past summer, when he allowed himself to fully sit with the emotions he had been navigating, did the music finally begin to crystallize. What followed was a body of work rooted in vulnerability, hope, and the kind of clarity that emerges when an artist lets emotion guide the process.

The first pieces of the album surfaced in October with “DNCR” and “Imprint,” two singles that introduced the era’s emotional landscape: rediscovery, surrender, and the lingering imprint of memory. A month later came the bittersweet “I Can’t Make You Love Me” accompanied by “Started Over,” a contemplative b-side exploring heartbreak, perspective, and the delicate optimism of beginning anew. Together, these early releases charted the emotional terrain that undux would further illuminate, touching on themes of holding on, letting go, and finding direction in the spaces between.

At the heart of the album is “Obvious,” the project’s centerpiece and its most intimate moment. Featuring Kaskade’s own vocals, the track blends dance-floor pulse with first-person storytelling, marking one of the rawest and most personal creations of his career.

“Undux has always been about connection through subtraction. From the string of shows I did to the full length album, I’ve tried to strip everything to it’s base layer and understand the beauty of walking through feelings and experiences without getting lost in the reverberations. Undux is a starting point and like with most things in life, it’s not obvious what that start will lead to but I’m excited to share that journey with my listeners.”

Though Kaskade is synonymous with some of electronic music’s most defining moments, undux feels like a homecoming to the foundation of his artistry: emotion, storytelling, and timeless melodic expression. Crafted across years of reflection and renewal, the album merges the sensitivity of his early work with the dynamic energy of today’s electronic landscape, resulting in a collection that is both deeply personal and universally resonant.
