Emerging from a five-year hiatus with viral hits and Billboard-chart success, producer and artist jigitz unveils his debut EP all my exes live in brooklyn, out now via R&R. The eight-track release is a cinematic, emotionally rich fusion of sound, weaving through themes of memory, heartbreak, movement, and self-discovery.
Crafted during a creative retreat in Montana with close collaborator Aire Atlantica and manager/best friend Faizan Malik, the project captures a unique moment in time. “We hit Best Buy, got the biggest speakers we could find, made the music, and returned the speakers after,” says jigitz. “It was cowboy-coded dance music made in the middle of nowhere—borrowed boots, F-150s, and late-night rodeos on TV.”
From the ethereal opener “leave” to the viral breakout “tell you straight” (over 25M organic streams and remixes from Louis The Child, Ely Oaks, Badger, Killen., and INJI), the EP delivers a dynamic listening experience. “dollaz n dollaz” brings in bass-heavy swagger, while closing track “free myself” returns to introspective depths with lush melodies and nostalgia-soaked textures.
The title, a cheeky nod to the George Strait classic, reflects jigitz’s roots in ‘90s country music. “Most of my exes are actually in Manhattan,” he jokes, “but Brooklyn just sounded better.”
To mark the release, jigitz will embark on a North American tour bringing his signature boiler room-style performances—often accompanied by ballerinas like Rockette Paige Litle—to iconic venues and major festivals, including Lollapalooza, Splash House, and Dusk Music Festival.
