This four-track project marks his first original release since the critically acclaimed ‘Pressure Gamut’ LP, showcasing a more polished and refined approach to production.

Jade Cicada on His Creative Process
“Switching to a new DAW opened up a whole new world of inspiration for me. New tools mean new creative possibilities, and I always strive to create something fresh. The EP artwork reflects my studio environment—gear, screens, and speakers blasting cool sounds into space. My guiding principle is simple: if it feels new and progressive, it’s worth sharing with the world.”
On the track “Frame Shift”, he adds:
“This track was inspired by the early 2010s beat scene, particularly Sunclef’s 2011 track ‘Droski’. I’ve always wanted to create something in that style but with a more bass-heavy, danceable edge. It’s a direction I’ve been meaning to explore for years, and I’m excited to craft more boom-bap-inspired tracks with melodic depth and punchy grooves.”

Fresh off a sold-out show at Mission Ballroom, Jade Cicada kicks off 2025 with his ‘Break The Hold’ Tour, a nine-date run across key cities, plus two highly anticipated festival appearances—Electric Forest and Lightning In A Bottle. Known for delivering immersive live experiences, Jade Cicada’s shows are a blend of meticulously designed audio and captivating visuals, creating an atmosphere that leaves a lasting impact on fans.
