Pushing creative boundaries like never before, EAZYBAKED unveils their most intimate and sonically diverse project yet—the ‘Respawn’ EP. Dropping on Valentine’s Day, this four-track collection serves as a deeply personal exploration of love, change, and self-discovery, marking a pivotal moment in the duo’s artistic evolution.
Widely recognized for their innovative approach to bass music, EAZYBAKED has built a reputation for electrifying performances and groundbreaking collaborations, including tracks with Caspa and a standout remix of Zeds Dead’s “Rude Boy.” Following the success of “Certified” and their ALCHEMY EP via Memory Palace, Respawn takes a bold step forward—blending ethereal melodies with emotive downtempo production.
A defining element of this project is its powerful collaborations, notably with vocalist Okaykayo, whose artistry helped shape the EP’s emotional core. Their creative synergy is on full display in “Respawn” and “ThewayUwalk,” with Okaykayo’s voice bringing raw depth to EAZYBAKED’s production. Meanwhile, their side project, the bakers, joins forces on “WithoutU,” further cementing their commitment to musical innovation.
While a departure from their signature heavy bass, Respawn has been a long-awaited addition to their live sets, with fans eagerly anticipating its release. The EP encapsulates hope, love, healing, and transformation, offering an immersive journey into sound, emotion, and authenticity.

EAZYBAKED ON THE ‘RESPAWN’ EP
“This EP is a reflection of love in all its forms—love for others and, most importantly, self-love. Okaykayo’s voice was a major source of inspiration, guiding us toward new sonic possibilities.”
On “Respawn”:
“The title track was created the night before we left for Electric Forest. I (Eric) had a melody idea and knew Kayo could elevate it. The instrumental was already named ‘Respawn,’ and when we sent it to him, he completely transformed it. Working with Kayo is effortless—we trust each other’s artistic vision, and this song came together in a way that felt truly natural.”
On the emotional depth of the project:
“This EP was a huge leap for us—our first time working with a vocalist and diving into this level of emotional storytelling. It was a liberating yet challenging experience, but we trusted our instincts. Sharing something this personal is daunting, but we hope it resonates with listeners the same way it has with us.”
On personal growth influencing the music:
“Andrew was stepping into a new phase as a single father, building his independent life. I was experiencing new love while leaving my family home for a fresh start. These life changes deeply shaped this project, and we hope our music can help others through their own journeys.”
OKAYKAYO ON THE CREATIVE PROCESS
On “Respawn”
“‘Respawn’ was the first track that truly clicked with us. Eric sent it while I was at my friend Emma Lee’s house—I’m not even sure he meant for me to add vocals, but I did, and it just worked. At the time, I was going through a tough breakup that left me feeling stuck, like I couldn’t ‘respawn.’ Writing this song was cathartic, helping me process emotions and grow. It also strengthened my bond with Eric—we’re both deeply emotional, and I think that shines through in the music.”
On “ThewayUwalk”
“This track came during another period of transition. The opening line, ‘I’ve been by myself in times of change, but I know it’s okay,’ reflects that moment perfectly. Initially, I came in with bold vocals, but Eric told me, ‘Less is more for this one.’ That shift led me to a softer, more intimate delivery that fit the track beautifully. In a way, Respawn and ThewayUwalk are opposites—one is about loss, the other about finding love and acceptance again.”
